Groundwater Remediation

Name:          Centralized Waste Treatment Facility for Contaminated Water
Location:      Englewood, Colorado

Work Provided: Treatment of Petroleum-Contaminated Water
Size:                  700,000 gallons per month

Owner/ Client:      SK Ventures, LLC
Prime Contractor: E-21 Engineering, Inc.

Project Description: E-21 constructed and permitted a Centralized Waste Treatment (CWT) Facility with the Littleton – Englewood Wastewater Treatment Plant under EPA’s CWT regulations for the treatment of petroleum-contaminated groundwater extracted from approximately 100 sites located throughout Colorado. The contaminated groundwater is extracted using trailer-mounted mobile liquid-ring pump, dual-phase vacuum systems and transported to the Raritan CWT facility. All extractions are scientifically and legally documented and transportation is manifested. After treatment, the pre-treated wastewater is discharged to the municipal WWTP under a special contribution permit for final state-of-the-art tertiary treatment and discharge at drinking water quality.
