Project Description: Since 2001, E-21 has performed groundwater and subsurface soil characterizations and remediation of contaminated soil, bedrock and groundwater associated with the release of over 34,000-gallons of gasoline at a former gasoline station in 1975. E-21 installed and/or monitors and operates over 40 groundwater monitoring wells, product recovery wells, and air sparge wells. E-21 designed and installed a groundwater collection and treatment system, as well as a soil vapor extraction system over an extended area of petroleum impact. Groundwater treatment consists of groundwater extraction, high volume air stripping of petroleum compounds, and re-injection. In addition, soil vapor remediation includes vacuum extraction and venting. System design, installation and pilot testing were performed before full-scale operation of this remediation system. The system is operating with excellent success.

The site is receiving 100% reimbursement from the Colorado Storage Tank Fund.
